Marina Barrage

We got to Marina Barrage just before the sunset. Didn't expect the strong winds - I should have brought my kite! And a sweater. It was so strong he got an elvis hairdo and my top kept flapping up... But the night scenery was worth it. Admittedly the Singapore Flyer which didn't make much sense to have in little Singapore, added that little bit of colour to the sparkling cityscape. When we circled the top of the barrage, I mistook the darting swallows which reflected the bright lights, to be fireflies. I'm going to pack my kite on the next trip, and will try to go in the day though it could be scorching hot. =)

Rainbow!

After my bro left the house to fetch his gf back for dinner, I received this SMS from him:
"See rainbow at LRT station."

Now, where's the LRT station? It took me a moment to get my bearings right. Gotta get out of the house and go to the corridor. Tada!

Quite faint, but it's there, just behind the block of flats under construction. Can you see?

Simple Fare, Happy Meal

Just 2 dishes and a soup. Fried Guneng fish, beans (乌龟豆) with chicken and minced pork, and celery + carrot soup. Simple fare.

My bro's gf, as usual, passed some of her rice to my bro. Eat, talk, eat, talk...

After she finished her rice, she scooped back the rice that she had passed to him earlier, cos the dishes were too tasty! They even fought to get the last fish! Haha!

Just 家常便饭，but it was a very enjoyable dinner as everyone liked the dishes very much!

Did I mention that my mum's cooking's great? =)

These brought a smile...

When you see the glee in your Dad's eyes when you brought home 20 pieces of his favourite snack.

When his answer to my question if I had crushed his foot is "I've got another one."

When the biker zipping by has got a bouquet of flowers stuffed in a big, red plastic bag hanging from one arm.

Trumpet Flowers in Bloom!

I love to see them in full bloom and then the whole ground will be covered with them when they shed. What a pretty sight!

These are not the best, but they make do for now. =)

No haze, no rain, sunny but not too warm... that makes me happy! =)
